Extra Point -
The 2 teams have met only one other time, in the 2007 playoffs, where Lowell won 42-7.  Portage Central is just 4 points away from being un-defeated while Lowell's only loss came at the hands of the one of the state's elite programs, East Grand Rapids.  This has the potential for a shoot-out of the highest proportions.  The EDGE leans towards Lowell.

Extra Point -
This is the first ever meeting between the two historic programs.  The records can be quite deceiving here for those on the outside looking in.  The Warriors played in one of the toughest conferences in the state, which yielded in turn one of the toughest schedules in the state.  Midland High is having a pretty good year and has the horses to pull this one out but unfortunately are dealing with the injury bug again.  The Chemics will need to be at full strength to have a shot at moving on in the post-season.  This doesn't mean they have to have everyone 100% but they will need 100% of their normal starters on the field.  The X-Factor in this game will of course be the health of their top two players on offense and defense and the passing game.  If the Chemics can mix it up a bit more, this will open up more avenues and keep Brother Rice on their heels vs. gearing up for a one dimensional attack.  Sophomore QB, Alex Rapanos is growing by the week mentally and will face his toughest test to date.  The EDGE leans towards Brother Rice.

Extra Point -
Both teams have had only one other meeting and that was during last year's State Semi-Finals, with DLS winning 21-6.  While Southfield has a game up on DLS in the win column, The Pilots' schedule has been mountainous to say the least.  The EDGE leans towards
De La Salle.

Extra Point -
This is the first ever meeting between the 2 teams.  Inkster, like most of the Catholic League teams of Brother Rice, De La Salle and Orchard Lake St. Mary, leave much to be desired about their records.  This does not begin to tell the story, however, about their schedule strength and just how dangerous these teams are.  Inkster will be the road team for the 3rd consecutive week but also will be the favorite.  Anderson has had one heck of a playoff turnaround.  In their first two playoff games, they defeated the teams they lost to, in the final two weeks of the regular season.  The ultimate X-Factor in this game will most likely be Inkster QB and Michigan verbal, Devin Gardner.  Gardner has risen to just about every occasion this season, even in losing efforts, he has been at his best.  The EDGE leans towards Inkster.
