IM and Montague will meet for the 3rd consecutive year in the Region Finals.  Montague is 2-0 against he Mountaineers and are the favorites to repeat as D6 Champs.  The Wildcats are led by 3 year starter Cody Kater @ QB a future CMU Chippewa, who has been one of the most potent offensive threats in the state of Michigan over the past 2 seasons.  The EDGE leans towards Montague.

Extra Point -
The 2 conference rivals met just 4 weeks ago, with St. Charles coming on top with a 42-28 victory that created a 3 way title share for the two teams along with Carrollton.  This time the game is in Ithaca, even though St. Charles won head to head and they finished with the same record.  The Primary reason is their week 9 opponent.  St. Charles beat a 1 win team while Ithaca beat 5 win Shepherd to push up the playoff point average.  Regardless, I fully expect this game to be a tight one with two pretty good teams going down to the wire.  St. Charles is 6-4 against Ithaca in the last 10 games but have won 3 in a row.  The last time they met in the post-season, 2007, St. Charles won 22-12.  Their are about 5 games this weekend that are a coin flip so I'll let home field advantage bail me out on the 'Edge'.  The EDGE leans towards Ithaca.

Extra Point -
There's some history between the two programs, as they both used to play in the same conference before Constantine went over to the Kalamazoo Valley.  The bad news is that it's not a good history for Bronson, as Constantine owns a 21-0 record over the Vikings.  Both teams are playing really well at the right time with Constantine having a bit tougher road to the Regionals.  The difference here might be playoff experience, not too many teams can boast a better playoff record than the Falcons over the past decade, including a state title.  The EDGE leans towards Constantine.

Extra Point -
Both teams have met in last year's and the 2005 Regional Final with SMCC winning both games, last year by only 4 points.  After losing the first game of the season, SMCC has gone on to win 10 straight and in impressive fashion against bigger schools on a consistent basis.  Manchester seems to have shaken off their week 9 loss to Hillsdale and responding with 2 great defensive efforts, giving up only 8 points over the last 2 games, their offense however has scored only a combined 21 points.  The EDGE leans towards St. Mary CC.
